MICHAEL UTILLA, ESQ.

Michael Utilla, Esq. – Michael Utilla graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He is a Member of Phi Beta Kappa, having that honor conferred upon him in 1991. Mr. Utilla proceeded to attend Brooklyn Law School where he received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1995.

Following his admission to both the State of New York as well Federal Bars, Mr. Utilla embarked upon a career as a solo practitioner with an emphasis in entertainment law where he continues to utilize his strong contract interpretation as well as negotiation skills. A sampling of Mr. Utilla’s varied clientele, past and present, includes highly successful recording artists, DJ's, radio personalities, an independent record label, screenwriters, celebrity chefs as well as championship caliber boxers.

Mr. Utilla also provides vigorous defense services to securities industry clients. In this capacity, his responsibilities consist of the review, evaluation and response to investor complaints; the preparation for, and defense of, investor initiated FINRA Arbitration proceedings; the defense of state regulatory, self-regulatory and federal administrative proceedings; attendance at regulatory depositions as well as guidance in connection with pending self-regulatory and regulatory investigations.
